Mike was born in Guam in the South Pacific and shortly thereafter moved to New England. In 1980 he received a scholarship in spring board diving at the University of Richmond in Virginia and spent 4 years as co-captain of the swim and diving team. After graduating in 1984 with a BS in Finance, Mike moved to Boulder to start and run a new business with his brother in the Outdoor industry. The company they started was called the Boulder Outdoor Center (BOC) and quickly grew into one of the largest and most successful kayaking and rafting companies in Colorado.
Mike lived in Eldorado Springs for 4 years and then moved to South Boulder where he has been ever since. Mike has two children (a girl 12 and a boy 10)'
After 17 years of teaching kayaking, river rescue and running a retail store, Mike decided to move on from his labor of love and spend more time with his family. It was a short time later that Mike decided to move into Real Estate. This decision was based on his knowledge of the front range, large sphere of friends and 17 years of background in business.
Mike joined Mock Realty over 7 years ago. Mock Realty was a company that was extremely personable, family oriented and actually took an interest in Mike and not just what numbers he could produce. Over the years he has been able to find a great balance of work, family and play with Mock Realty. A new passion Mike grew into was competing in triathlons which demanded a lot of time, however, with proper systems in place at work and with the aid of a licensed assistant (Kelly Brown), he has been able to find a great job that allows him to succeed at both.
In the summer of 2007 Mike was elected as a Director to the Boulder Board of Realtors. As a member of the board, Mike offers the same passion that he has with all of his lifelong endeavors in order to help educate Realtors® and the public alike. His term is a 3 year commitment.
A few months later Mike was asked to become the Sales Manager at Mock Realty. Mike accepted the position and looks forward to helping grow the company and help steer a course that will be a win-win for all involved.
Mike has consistently been one of the Top Producers at Mock Realty.
