The photographs, and subsequent webpage, that was used to market the home online were beautiful. The photographer with whom Kent worked did a fantastic job of showcasing the home?s features. The brochures were professional and eye-catching. We appreciated Kent?s consistent updates on showings and feedback from realtors who had viewed the home with their clients. In addition, Kent was always available to address our questions or concerns, returning calls within a short time on those rare occasions when he was unable to answer immediately. The paperwork involved in selling a home is massive, yet Kent managed that process well from start to finish. It never felt as though we were burdened with paperwork because he streamlined that process for us as much as possible. Moreover, Kent has vast knowledge of the community, the local market, and the challenges that can face sellers in particular markets. In Superior specifically, he knows the names and contact information of the people at Richmond and that was invaluable knowledge for the sale of our home. Kent has helped Superior residents buy and sell homes and he understands the ins and outs of that particular context. It is not an overstatement to say that it would have been disastrous in our case had we not worked with someone with intimate knowledge of the local market and builder. However, since Kent did bring that knowledge, we were able to successfully navigate our way through to a successful sale. In closing, we wish to point to some of the less obvious qualities that make for a less stressful and more successful sales process. Kent lived in our neighborhood and, although one could imagine some realtors who might feel the need to make very clear boundaries between the personal neighborly and the professional contracted relationship, Kent did not take this approach (much to our benefit!). Kent would often check on the home informally as he took his daily morning walk. He would notice if a spot of lawn was turning brown or if a sprinkler head was crooked?and he would personally address these things (yes, giving the lawn some extra water, picking up litter that might have strayed in the yard, notifying us if the wind seemed to have weakened a fence board). When we were unable to meet with a locksmith, Kent met them at the house and paid them up front without hesitation until we could reimburse him. These are just a few examples of the smaller, everyday ways that Kent worked to make the process easier on us and successful.
